The MMET Guild is a 501c3 organization that exists exclusively to support the MMET Program at Huntington Beach High School through fundraising and volunteering. The MMET Guild helps to cover the cost of equipment purchases and repairs, supplies needed to stage the high-caliber concerts and shows, food and drinks to sustain the children while they learn and perform, additional learning opportunities for all MMET students, field trips, hosting our year end celebrations, and much more. As a public school program, we rely on donations for much of our funding needs.
All contributions to the MMET Guild may be tax deductible donations.
The Music Media and Entertainment Technology (MMET) department provides students with classes ranging from musical instrumentation, history, theory, song composing, video recording, and TV production. Each year, MMET combines all aspects of instruction to create several multimedia shows that are completely produced and performed by students in the program, achieving a level of audio and visual synchronization rarely seen in stage performances. Huntington Beach High School has been home to the prestigious HB Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) since 1993, providing students with the opportunity to learn and excel in classical as well as modern performing arts.
If you would like to contribute to the MMET program, it would be greatly appreciated.

A Message from our Guild President:
We, the MMET Guild, is a not-for-profit organization that relies on the combination of parent contributions and fundraisers to support the MMET program. Unfortunately, the program receives very little and, in some cases, no funding from the district. It is through the Guild that a large part of the program is funded. Most of this funding comes from our Fundraiser Show, this is the show that we are asking all of you to help in the various ways below.
Show Tickets – This show is held at the First Christian Church (FCC) which has 850 seats. This is the only show that the MMET Guild receives the ticket sales We want to pack the house! Please invite everyone you know and spread the word.
Direct Donations – We always appreciate and accept direct donations. We are a 501c3 organization so all donations are tax deductible. We are approaching the end of the year and people may be looking to make some more tax-deductible donations. Please suggest and encourage MMET as a great option. Donations can be made by clicking on the “Donate” button above, or by check payable to HBHS APA MMET Guild, Inc.
Raffle Item Donations – A big part of this show is our raffle. We are looking for experiences, tickets to events, items, gift cards, etc. If you or you have a connection and can help with this, please contact us. The donation request form is on the home page of this website.
We know that at times it may feel like a lot is asked, but it is definitely worth it. Our students are so very talented, and it is so fun watching them continue to grow and improve with every show. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Cathy Cunningham
